Energy Audit

257 MWh Worth of Energy Savings With a Payback Period of Less Than 5 Years

Problem

Tauranga hospital was interested in their energy consumption over their site and activities and were wanting some opportunities to reduce this energy usage and cost

Solution

DETA undertook a Type 2 Energy Audit where detailed site visits of the facility were undertaken. From the site visits Energy Management Opportunities were identified which outline possible energy reduction opportunities and projects.

Outcome

The Energy Audit identified 257.1 MWh worth of energy savings with a payback period of less than 5 years. Implementation of these projects would reduce energy costs by $45,290 per annum. In terms of reduced carbon emissions, this would equate to 284.9 tonnes per year.
