Nauru Energy Strategy

Nauru’s Reliance on Fossil Fuels Will Reduce

Problem

Many islands in the Pacific are reliant on fossil fuels for energy.

Solution

DETA was engaged by the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFAT) to lead a team developing a low carbon roadmap for the island nation of Naura.

Outcome

Along with our partners, we worked to identify the most cost-effective path towards decarbonisation, and will then work with MFAT to deliver, and verify the recommended outcomes.
