Christchurch Boys High School has rich heritage, still occupying some of the same buildings as they were in 1926. As it can be imagined some of the heating and cooling technologies were out dated and needed upgrading.

Solution

DETA performed a full review of existing and future heating and cooling needs for future development.

Outcome

15% savings on energy use identified including revising HVAC systems, implementing renewable energy and load shedding during times of congestion demand.
