Westland Milk Products Energy Management Programme

Westland Milk Products - Hokitika

Energy Management Programme

2.3 GWh Annual Savings With Total Savings of 20 GWh of Targeted Savings Across the Business

Problem

In 2015, Westland Milk Products were looking to improve their energy performance across their multi-dryer site in Hokitika. They approached DETA, who had undertaken energy projects at the site previously, to provide a long-term energy reduction strategy.

Solution

DETA facilitated monthly energy management discussions, provided energy audits to identify new opportunities, and prepared feasibility studies to develop opportunities to business case level.

Outcome

DETA managed Westland Milk Products' energy programme for 3 years and reduced operating costs in this time by almost $250,000.
