LOCAL CASE STUDY
EECA – Energy Transition Accelerator Programme
DETA worked with the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA) to deliver decarbonisation roadmaps for large New Zealand energy users as part of the Energy Transition Accelerator (ETA) Programme.
Our team supported major sectors including dairy, meat processing, and healthcare, helping businesses plan and implement practical steps to cut emissions and transition away from fossil fuels. For the Alliance Group, DETA developed a 10-year roadmap to phase out coal by 2030 — identifying the most cost-effective pathway using electrification and biomass solutions.
The programme helped some of New Zealand’s largest organisations move confidently toward a low-carbon future.
